According to the San Francisco Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality, the pubococcygeus muscle plays an important role in the sexual health of men and women. In 1983, the Institute published the results of a study on Kegel Exercises which focused on the sexual benefits men and women can get from exercising their PC muscles.
